Southminster is a congregation of about 200 in Des Moines, Washington – a suburban community a few miles south of Seattle. We are a community of people seeking to be like Jesus and to serve God by loving generously, proclaiming boldly, and giving with grace and humility to all.

Job Summary: This position supports our ministries to children (nursery through 6th grade) and their families. The successful applicant will actively serve our congregation by directing and carrying out programming as well as building relationships with children and their families. This position is an excellent introduction to a career in ministry.

The Presbytery of Whitewater Valley is currently seeking to fill the position of Executive Presbyter. Please share this email with folks you believe would be appropriate candidates for the position. The presbytery has had a good interim time and is poised to move into the next phase of its journey. And Indianapolis is a great place to live (despite flooding all around us at the moment!)

Deadline for receipt of PIFs is July 15 and for responses to supplemental questions is July 22. Interviews are scheduled for September 24-25 in Indianapolis. The committee hopes to present a candidate for election to the December 3, 2008, Presbytery Assembly.

San Francisco Theological Seminary seeks a faculty member and Director of Student Services at its Southern California campus in Pasadena. Administrative responsibilities include: student relations, chaplain, and vocational development. Teaching responsibilities include: Introduction to Ministry, Supervised Practice of Ministry and other course work in an appropriate area of academic specialization. A Ph.D. or Th.D. is preferred in a field appropriate to the seminary curriculum.
